Lanzarote Guide Book Specification Contents
3rd edition Walk! Lanzarote £12.99
Important Updates (2017) for
Walk! Lanzarote users:-
36 Corona Northern Tour – this route is no
longer viable beyond the volcano due to the access being cut where the route
crossed private land.
33 Tabeyesco Circular – this route starts from the public shelter (Looks like a
bus shelter) but the recycling bins have been moved further up the village road;
start from the shelter not the bins.
The large red and white aerial that marked our first open ground ascent has been
removed! Basically when you leave the dirt track head uphill (approx South)
until you come onto the plateau where the aerial used to stand.
Jan Kostura has completed his research for an exhilarating new edition of Walk!
Lanzarote which we expect to be available Summer 2017.
Specification: 160 page full colour paperback
guidebook. £12.99. Page size 210mm by 120mm. Weight 260 grams. Dedicated map
sections 40k scale taken from new Lanzarote Tour & Trail
Map. Colour photographs.
Dedicated map sections mean that each map section is specially drawn for that
walking route and only includes the waypoints for that walking route so avoiding
confusion with adjacent walks.

Lanzarote's most popular walking guide book just got even better. Walk!
Lanzarote 3rd edition builds on the reputation of our 1st and 2nd editions with
more walks and comprehensive updating so that it caters for the needs of the
increasing number of people who would like to combine some walking with a
holiday on the 'Fire' island.
Walk! Lanzarote
explodes the myth that there is nowhere worth walking on the island as we range
through strolling on coastal promenades, walking across 'alpine' style meadows,
striding over the lava sea, dropping into volcanoes, sitting on 'high mountain
seats' - quite simply you will be amazed at the wide variety of stunning
landscapes the 'Fire' island has to offer the adventurous leisure walker.
New for the 3rd edition.
Revised and expanded Costa Teguise, new coastal route from Los Cocoteros to
Costa Teguise, Montana Los Rodeos - combine with Montana Cuervo to give the
family a pair of easy routes in dramatic landscapes, La Geria Circular based on
Uga, new alternative finish for La Geria, new Yaiza circular taking in Las
Brenas and our favourite tipico restaurant, new Tabayesco circular opening up
lots of route options to combine with our other routes in this popular region,
Maguez to Ye now becomes a circular based on Maguez with our return taking in
the spectacular Corona Caldera.
Walk! Lanzarote's thirty nine main walking routes provide a wide variety of
adventures with routes ranging from family friendly costal promenades through a
surprising range of landscapes up to some serious hiking. Every route is an
adventure that will make you eager to explore further on this spectacular
island. Walk! Lanzarote is produced to our highest standards with walk summary
and rating, fully detailed description, frequent timings so you can check your
progress and compass directions.
Each country route has full 1:40,000 scale colour mapping and gps waypoints
dedicated to that route, while our Teguise town walk uses a large scale street
plan. All routes are illustrated with colour photos.
Culture and agriculture are included along with a 'Thingy' section on modern
art, including new 'Thingys' discovered during our 2012 research plus a well
known artist producing works in the 'Thingy' mould!
We've taken your advice to emphasise the 'Access by Bus' sections for each walk
along with our 'Access by Car' information for each walking route.
Map sections for each walking route are taken from the 1:40,000 scale Lanzarote
Tour & Trail Super-Durable Map 3rd edition published by Discovery Walking
Guides.
For gps users, including gps apps on phones, the gps waypoint files are
available as a free downloadable zip file on the Discovery Walking Guides

Quite simply the best book of Lanzarote that you can buy - that's what we said
of the 2nd edition, but now the best book just got a whole lot better in its new
3rd edition. If this is your first visit to Lanzarote then Walk! Lanzarote plus
Lanzarote Tour & Trail Super-Durable Map will give you a series of adventures
that will have you returning to the "Fire" island to experience more. Should you
have the 1st or 2nd editions of our Walk! book and Tour & Trail Map there are
plenty of updates and new content to justify you updating to the latest 3rd
